Academic Placement
for incoming 3rd formers
For third-form students (freshman) academic placement is only needed if the student feels that they should not start in an entry-level course. Academic placement can only be done for Math and Language courses. In order to place in a higher level than the introductory level, the student must take a placement test during the summer before their freshman year. The department chair will then review the test and decide where the student should be placed.
There are currently no upper-level courses for freshmen in History or English
If you are a new 4th or 5th former with a question about placement, please contact your admission representative for your specific question.
